Last month proved to be a busy month for Quality Improvement (QI) team in our North region, with three healthcare sites achieving the coveted status of ‘QI Ready’. Congratulations to the teams at Cygnet Acer Clinic, Cygnet Hospital Sheffield and Cygnet Hospital Wyke!

Project themes at these sites include improving the process of identifying sensory needs, improving medication management and improving reflective practice. The QI Team looks forward to work with everyone further, to drive QI awareness but also encourage meaningful improvement!

QI Ready is a programme set up to support and empower our healthcare and social care teams to drive local quality improvements. Some of the key criteria for meeting QI Ready status include compliance with QI training courses, formulating a local QI project, getting involved in the regional QI forum and ensuring QI is part of local governance meeting discussions.

As a result of gaining their QI Ready status all three services have received their QI Ready plaque and folders.
