What is a mental health assessment?
Sometimes it can be difficult to understand why you are feeling or behaving differently, particularly when symptoms begin to affect your everyday life, relationships or work.
An online mental health assessment gives you the opportunity to talk through what you have been experiencing with an experienced clinician and explore what might be contributing to how you are feeling.
Our private mental health assessment service provides assessments for adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. The aim is to develop a clearer understanding of your symptoms, consider whether there may be an underlying mental health condition and discuss what support or treatment could help.
You do not need to know what condition you may have before getting in touch. If you know that something doesn’t feel right but aren’t sure why, an assessment can be a useful place to start.
What conditions can we assess?
Mental health difficulties can affect people in many different ways. You may have been experiencing symptoms for some time, or something may have changed more recently that has prompted you to seek professional advice.
Our clinicians can assess a range of common mental health conditions, including:
- Anxiety disorders
- Bipolar disorder
- Depression (including Post-Natal Depression)
- Emotional distress
- Other mood-related difficulties
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
You may already have an idea of what you are experiencing, or you may simply know that you would like some help understanding how you have been feeling.
You don’t need to diagnose yourself before seeking an assessment. Your clinician will listen to your experiences and consider the wider picture.
