In May we launched the 2024 Cygnet Calendar Competition and asked our service users and residents from across the country to submit their paintings, drawings, photographs and arts & crafts projects to be featured.
The occupational therapy team at Cygnet Hospital Colchester recently helped to arrange a sports day for service users and staff. There was a wide variety of activities for everyone to take part in, including a ball and spoon race, the three-legged race, long jump and shot put.
Cygnet Hospital Colchester celebrated its cultural diversity in flying colours in August, as staff and service users came out to the specially adorned Joy Clare Activity centre to learn about other cultures and share theirs.
Service users from Cygnet Hospital Colchester were recently able to take advantage of the fine weather to enjoy an inter-ward five-a-side game of football in a local park.
Well done to the team at Cygnet Hospital Colchester who have seen the hospital’s rating upgraded to ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Significant improvements were identified across all areas and as a result the hospital achieved a ‘Good’ rating in all five key lines of enquiry.
