On Thursday 22nd March a special lunch was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cygnet Hospital Blackheath. The lunch was well attended by service users and staff, including some team members who have moved on to other roles within Cygnet and who came back to Blackheath especially for the occasion.
On Friday 12th May Cygnet Hospital Blackheath hosted an event to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week. The event focussed on the positive message of this year’s theme of 'Surviving or Thriving'.
On Friday 7th April 2017, Cygnet Hospital Blackheath and Cygnet Lodge Lewisham co-hosted the first of three “Family, Friends and Caregivers” events for the year. The day’s agenda covered a variety of topics all delivered by guest speakers, providing attendees with support and information that they would find useful.
Cygnet Hospital Blackheath recently hosted their fourth Family, Friends and Carers (FF&C) event. The aim of these events is to get to know the family members, carers and friends of our service users and to provide them with support and information they will find useful.
On 28th October 2016 Cygnet Hospital Blackheath hosted a Peer Support and Recovery Day on Meridian Ward. The event was organised to provide the inpatient service users with hope for the future, that they will leave hospital and that it is possible to lead a fulfilling life in the community.
