Cygnet Manor, based in Shirebrook, has been named a finalist in the New Corporate Partnership category at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity Awards 2026.
Located on Central Drive, the Cygnet Health Care service offers high-dependency complex care for 20 men with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
The awards celebrate individuals and organisations who support and add value to the charity as it marks its 50th anniversary.
The New Corporate Partnership category specifically recognises supporters who have shown amazing dedication and gone the extra mile for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
Cygnet Manor chose the charity as the focus of its fundraising efforts at the start of 2025, with both staff and service users getting involved to support the cause.
The team proudly handed over a cheque of £12,300 after a year of dedicated fundraising activities, which included a Family Fun Day at Shirebrook Cricket Club, a sponsored skydive and a community car wash.
Acknowledging the team’s achievement, Kelly Shortt, Hospital Director at the Cygnet Health Care service, said: “I am incredibly proud of the team for the work that they put into fundraising for such an incredible cause. The charity was chosen by the whole team due to it being meaningful to them.
“We are honoured that the joint fundraising effort from both our staff and the individuals we support has been recognised as everyone got involved in our events for the charity.”
Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity supports ground-breaking medical treatment, funds life-saving equipment and helps create a comfortable and engaging environment for children and families receiving care at the hospital.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 17 July 2026 at the OEC, Sheffield.
