Staff from the Drug and Alcohol service at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke recently presented their research on addictive behaviours at the annual British Psychological Society Addiction Conference titled “Using What Works: Building Resilience in New Addiction Approaches”.
DBT team members from Cygnet Hospital Beckton were proud to be invited to speak on 2nd November 2017 at the National Conference for DBT. They also had the opportunity to showcase their work at the hospital through poster presentations.

On 9 May 2017 Cygnet held its latest free educational event, 'Stigma In Mental Health: The role stigma plays and strategies for positive change.' More than 120 delegates gathered at the Village Hotel in Leeds for the event which addressed the problem of mental health stigma and what strategies can be used to help those affected by stigma.
On 14 March 2017 Cygnet held its latest free educational event, 'Rehabilitation and Recovery: New Approaches.' More than 120 delegates gathered at the Royal College of GPs for the event which explored a range of topics examining the very latest thinking and practice in rehabilitation and recovery in mental health.
