Colin spent the day introducing his birds to service users and staff on all five units at the hospital. Service users were able to interact with the birds and stroke their tail feathers. Some service users and staff were very lucky and got to hold the friendly tawny owl called Bert. Service users also watched as Doris, the falcon spread her wings out in the garden.
The benefits of seeing, meeting and touching animals are widely appreciated. The effects these wonderful animals had on our service users and staff was certainly clear to see.
