Last month marked the 10th anniversary of the opening of Cygnet Lodge Brighouse. The Lodge had extra cause for celebration when it received confirmation of a "Good" rating following its latest inspection from CQC.
Staff from Cygnet Hospital Wyke and Cygnet Lodge Brighouse responded brilliantly to an appeal by a local organisation for Christmas presents for the disadvantaged children in Bradford.
In January our hospitals in Blackheath, Brighouse and Wyke will become the latest Cygnet services to provide care and treatment in a smoke free environment. This takes the total number of smoke free Cygnet hospitals up to four.
To celebrate national Occupational Therapy Week 2015 the OT teams at Cygnet's West Yorkshire units organised a series of activities and sessions throughout the week to promote the use of OT within the service.
We are pleased to announce that from the end of this year Cygnet Lodge Brighouse will become an all-male service. This move is in response to a clear need for male mental health rehabilitation beds, as seen by the number of referrals to the service over the past twelve months.
