Women In Secure Mental Health Conference
On 20th February 2018 Cygnet Hospital Stevenage hosted a free educational event for mental health professionals entitled: “Women In Secure Mental Health Settings – Assessment, Management and Treatment”. The event, which was held at BMA House in London, was attended by over 100 mental health professionals and was well received by those who attended.
Dr Tim Exworthy joins the team at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Tim Exworthy who has joined the team at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage as a consultant forensic psychiatrist. Tim trained in forensic psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital/Institute of Psychiatry and has been a consultant for over 20 years.
Cygnet Hospital Stevenage present successful results of Firesetting Intervention Programme
Cygnet Hospital Stevenage has successfully completed their first delivery of the Firesetting Intervention Programme for Mentally Disordered Offenders (FIP-MO). Findings from the programme were then presented to he Division of Forensic Psychology at their Annual Conference.
‘Unlabelled’ film wins National Service User Award
‘Unlabelled’ an anti-stigma film produced by service users at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage has won an award at the 2017 National Service User Awards. The film won in the category of 'Recovery and the Arts'.
