To celebrate national Occupational Therapy Week 2015 the OT teams at Cygnet's West Yorkshire units organised a series of activities and sessions throughout the week to promote the use of OT within the service.
Cygnet Hospital Bierley has recently launched a new initiative for carers called 'Lunch and Chat'. Through a series of quaterly events the aim of the initiative is to evaluate the ways in which Cygnet Hospital Bierley already engages with carers.
We are delighted to announce that the joint winners of the Service User Choice Award at the National Service User Awards 2015 were a service user from Cygnet Hospital Bierley and service users from Cygnet Hospital Derby
Cygnet Hospital Bierley has been scored 88% in a review by the Quality Network for Forensic Mental Health Services. The hospital also achieved 100% ratings in five of the areas assessed.
Following on from a recent six month project which has seen service users enjoy work experience at the local Asda supermarket, Cygnet Hospital Bierley have initiated a second project with the store.
