As part of an ongoing Quality Improvement Project to promote a safe and therapeutic environment, Cygnet Hospital Beckton recently held a ‘Least Restrictive Practice Awareness Week' for staff at the hospital.
Cygnet Hospital Beckton is proud to announce that it has achieved the Investors in People Bronze award. The award follows two days of assessments and staff interviews on the 3rd and 4th March 2015. Staff celebrated the Bronze award with a tea party.
A series of initiatives have seen the incidents rates across Cygnet Hospital Beckton drop by 33% compared to the previous year. Bewick Ward, the hospital's low secure service for women, saw a huge reduction of almost 75%.
Following a number of successful patient episodes for pregnant service users, Cygnet Hospital Beckton has developed a care programme for expectant mothers on their female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and low secure wards.
