Trinity Lodge, our new specialist residential service in Lockerbie supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, is now open.

Located in the heart of a residential part of Lockerbie, Trinity Lodge will support six individuals in three living units that includes two single occupancy flats and four en-suite bedrooms with a communal living space.

In addition to supporting the ongoing aging needs of current residents at Trinity House (also in Lockerbie) the service also accepts external referrals.

Heather Smith, Deputy Operations Director, said: “We are really pleased to offer a bespoke specialist service for residents who are already part of the Lockerbie community and who have been living at Trinity House for a number of years. In addition Trinity Lodge will also provide two new apartments for people who are ready to develop and enhance their independent living skills within a supported environment.”

The people supported at Trinity Lodge will be encouraged to be involved in the local community as much they wish to be, including being involved in the service’s new social enterprise café.

Lorraine Platt, Service Manager, added: “We are really excited about the community social enterprise café which will be opening in the New Year. The people who live at Trinity House and Trinity Lodge will offer a small menu and plenty of tea and coffee to our local community. There will be training opportunities and enhanced skills training undertaken with our long term plan being partnership working with our local college and volunteers from our local community.”
