The thoughtfully designed pieces aim to combine a contemporary and colourful feel with uplifting and positive messages. Two of the four murals are in the café area and feature a vibrant, leafy design, creating a refreshing and inviting atmosphere for service users, staff and visitors.
The reception area features the remaining two murals, each with a distinct message. The first mural contains daily affirmations, serving to boost inspiration and hope.
The final piece pays tribute to Annie Kenney, the famous suffragette the service is named after. “The larger mural in reception was designed by myself in celebration of women and diversity. Knowing that the service was named after Annie Kenney, the idea of celebrating powerful women and promoting a positive message was my aim.” – Alexandra Elstone
