They met on Sunday 6th October to walk together along the Wales Coastal Path between Conwy and Llandudno to raise money for Nightingale House Hospice.
Leigh Sherriff, Operations Director North West, said: “We wanted to celebrate the best that Shani gave to us, so we planned to do an accessible walk of almost five miles at a place she loved.”
“Thank you to everyone who walked with us on what we thought was going to be a wet and windy day! It turns out someone was looking down us. It was an amazing day in memory of an amazing woman.
“Thank you to every single person who has donated in memory of Shani. Over £3,000 has been raised so far. Her husband Geoff has requested that the funds raised are given to Nightingale House Hospice, a place which cared for her so well in her last days.
“Every pound donated will help care for the next mum, sister, daughter who may need the support of the Nightingale House Hospital and we appreciate any contribution made in Shani’s memory.”
Donations can still be made here.
