These scores are the result of a peer review visit to the hospital on 10th February 2015. Initial feedback from the Quality Network review identified the following areas as key achievements:

  • A full programme of meaningful activities, much of which is community based
  • The amount of self-catering accessible to service users
  • The strength of the MDT which has been fully embedded into the caring environment
  • Monthly development days for supporting staff training needs
  • Good evidence of partnership with Kent and Medway NHS Trust
  • The work being done by the psychology and social work teams to provide reassurance and support to families
  • Service users were highly complementary about the meals which were of high quality and freshly made on site

“Achieving a 94% compliance score clearly demonstrates the hard work and dedication the whole Saltwood team have put in over the last 12 months. In particular I was pleased how the peer review team gave recognition to the strength of the MDT and saw how the partnership working with KMPT is fully embedded in to the caring environment. This result is something the team can be incredibly proud of.”Tom Ware, Hospital Manager
