The trip had been a long time in the planning for Christine as she had first mentioned about wanting to go away to Blackpool at a house meeting earlier in 2023.
Prior to going away, Christine worked with her support staff to plan what activities she wanted to do and she helped to plan out her days in Blackpool so she could do all of her favourite activities.
Christine had a fun-packed schedule during her holiday and visited Madame Tussauds, Blackpool Sea Life, Café Meow Cat Café, the Blackpool Tower Circus and saw the Blackpool Illuminations. The weather at times was a little bit wet and windy but this did not dampen her spirits and she had a great time.
Fred, Activity Coordinator at Ellen Mhor, who accompanied Christine on her holiday, said: “Christine had a thoroughly enjoyable time away on Blackpool and it was great to see her enjoy herself and taking in all the sights and activities that Blackpool has to offer. She had been asking to go to Blackpool for a long time and it was nice to see her achieve this aspiration.”
Upon Christine’s return to Dundee, her support team made her a photobook of her holiday pictures so she can relive her Blackpool adventures and share them with her friends and family.
