Cygnet unveils 2024-25 Impact Report

We are proud to release our 2024-25 Impact Report, showcasing a year of substantial achievements and investment across our health and social care services.

The report provides an in-depth look at our successes, outcomes, case studies, and future plans, all guided by our purpose to improve the lives of those in our care, together with their loved ones and our staff.

In the past year alone, we supported 8,318 individuals across our 150 services, 81% of which are rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by regulators. Demonstrating our commitment to growth and quality, the construction of seven brand new hospitals progressed at pace in 2024. Combined, these seven new hospitals will provide 230 beds, help 1,500 patients each year, and bring 1,000 new jobs to the economy.

Dr Tony Romero, Cygnet CEO, said he was incredibly proud of what Cygnet has achieved over the last 12 months.

He added: “The positive detail seen throughout our 2024-25 Impact Report is a testament to the incredible dedication of our staff and our shared belief in creating better futures and improving lives together.

“As we grow, we continue to lead with compassion, care, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services for those in need of support.”

Throughout 2024-25, our focus on clinical outcomes saw impressive results, with discharge success rates of 95% in adult health care and 93% in CAMHS, alongside a 17% reduction in the average length of stay. Improvements in daily functioning – up 30% in health care and 9% in social care – also demonstrate the tangible impact our person-centred care has on those in our services.

Co-production was also a standout theme of the year, with 50 Experts by Experience carrying out over 1,000 visits, helping shape care environments and our co-designed social hubs, now in 21 services, have led to a 25–35% reduction in incidents and improved staff engagement across some services.

Dr Romero added: “The report highlights many other key achievements including the significant strides we have made in workforce development and wellbeing, how we have furthered our environmental goals, how we have continued our tradition of charitable giving and community involvement, and also how we lead the way in carer initiatives, supporting the loved ones of those in our services.

“There is so much to look back on and be proud of, and I am confident that 2025-26 will bring even more success.

“As we look to the future, our focus remains firmly on improving lives and working in partnership to build a stronger, more responsive health and social care system.”
