Cygnet sponsors Nursing in Mental Health category at Nursing Times Awards 2026

Cygnet sponsored the Nursing in Mental Health category at this year’s Nursing Times Awards, recognising the contribution of nurses working to improve mental health care across the UK.

The awards ceremony took place on 29 October at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel in London, bringing together nursing professionals, leaders and organisations to celebrate achievements across the profession.

Now in its 36th year, the Nursing Times Awards recognise innovation, leadership and excellence in nursing and midwifery, highlighting work that makes a positive difference to patient care.

Cygnet sponsored the Nursing in Mental Health category for the first time in 2026. The category attracted 27 entries, with 12 individuals and teams shortlisted for their work to improve mental health services.

The winner was Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, recognised for its perinatal mental health nurse prescriber model. The judges praised the initiative for placing people at the centre of care, improving access and supporting positive outcomes.

The event attracted 1,118 attendees, with 111 judges involved in the awards. Cygnet’s sponsorship also included representation in the judging process and the opportunity to present the award on stage.

Shane Mills, Cygnet Nursing Director, said: “We’re proud to have sponsored the Nursing in Mental Health category at this year’s Nursing Times Awards. Mental health nurses make a real difference to people’s lives, often at some of their most difficult moments, and it’s important that their skills, dedication and achievements are recognised.

“The awards showcased some excellent examples of nursing innovation and leadership. Congratulations to Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust and to everyone shortlisted. We’re pleased to support an event that celebrates the contribution of nurses and the positive impact they have on the people they care for.”
