Cygnet Social Care was established as its own division within the Cygnet Group last year. Since then much work has been done to support our Social Care teams to invest in facilities, engage staff and residents in meaningful activities and promote social care as a fulfilling and rewarding career.
In June 2023 we launched our #SocialCareSuperpower campaign, which highlighted the incredible people who work across social care services and who strive every day to make a positive difference to those in need of support.
Last year we also launched two internal campaigns to provide meaningful activity to residents, improve their homes and empower staff. The Cygnet Social Care In Bloom and the Cygnet Interior Design competitions were two inter-service competitions to make improvements to spaces in the homes and gardens of our social care services.
The judges praised the team saying they demonstrated a “focus on constant improvement, as evidenced by CQC results, and great testimonials.”
They also highlighted positive staff retention, service user satisfaction and environmental improvements, which have enhanced the quality of our services, as examples of Cygnet Social Care being a progressive organisation.
Gareth Williams, CEO of Cygnet Social Care, who collected the award on the night, said: “The senior team and I were delighted to receive the award for ‘Specialist Care Provider of the Year’ on behalf of all of our amazing managers and support staff, who work tirelessly to deliver excellent care for our residents. This is an award for everyone connected to Cygnet Social Care, and I am incredibly proud of the great company that we have.”

Cygnet Social Care provides intensive support to some of society’s most vulnerable people and those with more complex care needs. When other providers may not have the expertise or capacity to meet these needs, we are able to offer the highly specialist care that is required.
Last year we supported 788 individuals across 69 residential, supported living and day services, as well as opening new supported living accommodation, working in partnership to provide more suitable care for those ready for more independent living.
Through our Social Care services our focus is always to provide the right support, at the right time, in the right setting.
We are proud that in 2023, 88% of our Social Care services were rated ‘Good’ or ’Outstanding’, which outperforms the national average of 83% of Adult Social Care Providers being rated Good or Outstanding (CQC State of Care 2023).
