Cygnet Social Care named finalist in Health Investor Awards

Cygnet Social Care is excited to have been named a finalist for Specialist Care Provider of the Year – Large Group (20+ settings) at this year’s Health Investor Awards.

Since the establishment of Cygnet Social Care as its own division in the Cygnet Group last year, it is great to get this recognition and make the shortlist.

Much work has been done to support our Social Care teams to invest in facilities, engage staff and service users in meaningful activities and promote social care as a fulfilling and rewarding career.

Gareth Williams, CEO of Cygnet Social Care said: “I want to personally thank all our social care staff for the kindness, compassion and creativity they show through their care. I am blown away by the fantastic events, day trips and activities our teams provide to our residents. The level of detail that goes into planning and personalising the care each individual receives is incredible. It is a huge responsibility, but it’s one that we are proud to take on every day.

“I am delighted we have been shortlisted as finalists as it really is testimony to the work of our teams across the country and I am grateful for all they do.”

Cygnet Social Care provides intensive support to some of society’s most vulnerable people and those with more complex care needs. When other providers may not have the expertise or capacity to meet these needs, we are able to offer the highly specialist care that is required.

Last year, our expert and highly dedicated social care team of 2945 employees supported 788 residents and service users across 69 residential, supported living and day services. Specifically, our day services supported 85 service users in 2023.

We also opened new supported living accommodation and worked in partnership to provide more suitable care for those ready for more independent living.

Through our Social Care services our focus is always to provide the right support, at the right time, in the right setting.

We are proud that in 2023, 88% of our Social Care services were rated ‘Good’ or ’Outstanding’, which outperforms the national average of 83% of Adult Social Care Providers being rated Good or Outstanding (CQC State of Care 2023)

The HealthInvestor Awards shines a light on the very best in health and social care and we look forward to celebrating with our fellow nominees on 5th June.
