The award recognises the Cygnet Health Care physiotherapist’s role in supporting student education and providing an exceptional placement experience.
Reflecting on her achievement, Payal said: “Being awarded this means a great deal to me. It’s a recognition of the hard work, dedication and passion that I have put into my work over the years. It is truly rewarding to know that the effort I put in to support others has not only been noticed but is also appreciated.
“I chose to become a physiotherapist as I have always been passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. It’s great to be able to support individuals in their recovery journey and help them to achieve their goals.”
Payal joined Cygnet Heathers, a 20-bed neuropsychiatric hospital for men with mental health difficulties and acquired brain injuries, six years ago. The West Bromwich-based service is part of the Cygnet Health Care division.
Her role has seen Payal support placement students at the Cygnet Health Care service leading to her award from the School of Allied Health Professions and Pharmacy at Keele University. The recognition described Payal as “supportive and knowledgeable” and an individual who “creates a positive learning environment.”
The Cygnet Heathers team congratulated Payal on her award: “Payal has demonstrated remarkable dedication in providing guidance, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences for students. Her passion for helping others grow professionally reflects the core values of Cygnet Health Care and our commitment to excellence in practice education.”
