The finalists span 11 award categories, with nominations recognising everything from clinical excellence and multidisciplinary working to innovation, psychological support, activities and outstanding support for patients and families.
Cygnet Group has also been shortlisted for Best Neurological Care Provider, an award Cygnet won in 2025, recognising the quality of care and outcomes delivered across its specialist neuropsychiatric and neurological rehabilitation services.
Cygnet operates 12 neurological services and 100% are rated Good or Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
In 2025, 90% of individuals discharged from Cygnet’s neuropsychiatric rehabilitation services moved to a less restrictive setting, supporting greater independence and improved long-term outcomes.
Feedback from people receiving care has also been overwhelmingly positive. Individuals rated their overall experience of Cygnet’s neurological services at 4.4 out of five, while the extent to which Cygnet helped them feel better and improve was rated 4.5 out of five.
One individual receiving care at Cygnet Paddocks said: “I can’t speak highly enough about the excellent care staff at Cygnet Paddocks, they are warm and professional.

Cygnet continues to invest in the development of specialist neurological pathways. During 2026, this has included the launch of a specialist Hyperacute Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation pathway and a Neurocognitive Treatment and Care Pathway at Cygnet Hospital Taunton, designed to meet the needs of people with highly complex neurological conditions.
Cygnet is also contributing to the development of the QN-Neuro standards, led by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, working alongside NHS and independent sector partners to support greater consistency, quality and outcomes across specialist neurological services.
The Neurological and Complex Care Awards celebrate excellence and outstanding achievement across neurological and complex care, recognising individuals, teams and organisations delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Tuesday 27 October.
