The services included Cygnet Hospital Oldbury, Cygnet Sedgley House and Lodge, Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton and Cygnet Raglan House.
The team of dedicated staff took on the Glow Walk challenge, raising £1,600 for Mental Health UK.
The charity deliver services that enable and empower those struggling to understand and manage their mental health. Mental Health UK also support people coping with the biggest societal challenges like money problems and work to create supportive environments.
Jodie Bowyer, Hospital Manager at Raglan House, said: “A big congratulations to everyone on our Cygnet Health Care team who laced up their walking shoes and took part in the Glow Walk. Our target was £500 and we absolutely smashed it and raised triple that for such an amazing charity.
“This is a fantastic achievement that wouldn’t have been possible without the energy, generosity and teamwork shown by our staff. Every step walked and every pound donated will help make a real difference to people living with mental health challenges.”
The sponsored walk took place on Saturday 27 September and saw participants trek from Edgbaston Reservoir, through Birmingham city centre and back. The Cygnet Health Care team shined throughout the fundraiser donned in light-up headbands and waving glow sticks.
Jodie said: “It was a great opportunity for the West Midlands team to unite and participate in team building whilst raising money for a worthy charity. Together, we’ve shown what we can accomplish when we united for a good cause. We can’t wait for many more steps and successes as a team.”
