The service invited staff, service users and their loved ones for a Christmas Fun Day, which raised £502 for its local foodbank.
The charitable effort was inspired by individuals supported at the Cygnet Health Care service, who wanted to help others at Christmas time.
Tracy Deakin, Therapy Coordinator at Cygnet Aspen Clinic, praised her colleagues and the individuals she supports for their fundraising success.
She said: “We chose to support our local food bank because our service users wanted to give back to the local community. It was important that we helped and supported those in need where we could.”

Service users worked closely with staff in craft sessions and a sewing group to make a variety of items, such as Christmas cards, wreaths and stockings, to sell at the event. There was also a tombola and a raffle to keep the donations rolling.
Hospital Manager Neil Booth said: “Everyone took part in the crafting and it was a therapeutic way to engage with our artistic side and work together for a good cause. We are extremely grateful for everyone’s support in this charitable event. All of the money raised will make a real difference to someone in need.”

Cygnet Aspen Clinic is a 16-bed service for women with personality disorders or mental health needs run by Cygnet Health Care.
