Service users from our CAMHS services at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield recently enjoyed a sports day at one of the local parks in the city. In this special report, written by one of the service users who took part, we get a unique and witty perspective on the day.
On Friday 2nd September staff and service users celebrated the 10th anniversary of the opening of Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke with a large garden party.
On Tuesday 16th August service users across all the wards at Cygnet Hospital Taunton had a lot of fun creating scarecrows in the tradition of the local villages' annual scarecrow festival.
On Saturday 13th August members of Cygnet Health Care's senior management team successfully abseiled 100m down Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower. By doing so they raised over £7,000 for selfharmUK, Cygnet's nominated charity for 2016.
Service users on Cygnet Hospital Ealing's New Dawn ward have begun a new gardening project. The idea for the 'Healing Garden' originated from a Healthy Living Skills group and, with the support of the Occupational Therapy team, service users have been planting flowers as well as herbs that they aim to use in future cooking sessions.
