David, a service user at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green, recently got to fulfill a long held ambition to record a music video for his song ‘Wish’. Rafik Hamaizia, Cygnet’s Expert by Experience Lead and David explain how the video came to be filmed.
On Thursday 22nd March a special lunch was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cygnet Hospital Blackheath. The lunch was well attended by service users and staff, including some team members who have moved on to other roles within Cygnet and who came back to Blackheath especially for the occasion.
Service users at Cygnet Appletree recently took part in a two-day First Aid at Work course. The course covered all the basic first aid techniques such as the role of the first aider, unresponsive casualty, communication and casualty care, resuscitation (adult CPR), fainting, burns and scolds.
On 13th December 2017 service users and staff representing four of Cygnet's Recovery Colleges gathered at a studio in London to film their own version of the Dragon's Den.
