The registered manager of Old Leigh House, has said she was delighted after the care home was upgraded to a “Good” rating by the regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Old Leigh House, in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, is a care home providing support for up to six men with a learning disability and complex needs.

Last week it was Children's Mental Health Week (1st-7th February) and the CAMHS services at Cygnet Hospital Bury all celebrated the week with a variety of different activities based on this year's theme of 'Express Yourself'.
A resident at Ranaich House, is shooting for the stars after the specialist residential home helped him to make a music and dance video. The Dunblane residential home for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs has adopted a programme called Music 2 Empower, to give residents the chance to use a professional recording studio.
Service users and staff at Cygnet Lodge Salford recently came together to celebrate the service’s 1st anniversary in style. There were a range of events including an awards ceremony, adventure room, lots of tasty food and the ever popular throw the wet sponge at staff!
The team at Cygnet Views have launched a new Slimming Club for ladies at the service. The new club is proving to be a great success and is being complemented by weekly Food and Mood drop in sessions featuring food tasting and the promotion of healthy foods.
