On 5th November 2019 we hosted a free CPD-accredited educational event for health professionals titled “Mental Health Rehabilitation: Changing Landscape and Collaborative Approach”.
Team members from Cygnet Wast Hills yesterday presented at the British Dental Association’s West Midlands Regional Conference ‘Mind the Gap – Mental Health in Dentistry’.
On Thursday 31st October the team at Cygnet Hospital Beckton held their first Working Together Group, a brand new forum for service users and carers.
Pippin Ward, our new 10 bed female acute service at Cygnet Appletree near Durham, is due to open on Monday 25th November 2019. The service will provide a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.
On Friday 18th October the team at Pines, our specialist residential service in Mansfield Woodhouse for adults with autism, held an event to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.
We are pleased to announce that, following an inspection on 7-8th August 2019, Cygnet Appletree has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
On Friday 11th October the team from Cygnet Delfryn House and Cygnet Delfryn Lodge co-hosted a fundraising event with Cyfle Cymru to mark World Mental Health Day.
On Tuesday 15th October the team at Cygnet Hospital Ealing set aside a day to display service user artwork that had been prepared the previous week on World Mental Health Day.
On Saturday 12th October service users and staff from Cygnet Hospital Taunton were invited to attend Taunton Town FC’s match with Hayes & Yeading. At the end of the match one service user was given the honour of presenting the Man of the Match award.
On Wednesday 2nd October the team at Cygnet Hospital Harrow held an event celebrating diversity whilst at the same time promoting the destigmatisation of mental health in the community.
Castle Ward, our new 12 bed female PICU service at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green near Sevenoaks in Kent, is due to open on Monday 4th November 2019.
On Thursday 10th October the team at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone hosted a celebratory event that marked both World Mental Health Day and the hospital’s first anniversary.
