We are proud to announce that five service user led projects from Cygnet hospitals have been shortlisted as finalists in the National Service User Awards 2016. Three projects from Cygnet Hospital Derby and two projects from Cygnet Hospitals Bierley and Wyke have been shortlisted.
A group of service users at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage have developed, produced and starred in a fictional and unflinching portrayal of the kind of discrimination and bullying that individuals with mental health issues experience.
Following the implementation of a series of new initiatives the therapy team at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage have successfully reduced the drop-out rate of service users engaged within their DBT programme from 50% to 33.3%.
We are pleased to report that on the 7th December work was completed on an upgrade to all sixteen bedrooms on Cygnet Hospital Harrogate’s Haven Ward. This marked the end of the first phase of a £350,000 upgrade to all 36 bedrooms in the hospital.
Cygnet Health Care is delighted to be leading on an exciting pilot with the National Recovery & Outcomes Steering Group aimed at improving service user involvement in communications with the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).
