An event held to mark Mental Health Awareness Week by Cygnet hospitals in West Yorkshire has received extremely positive feedback from those who attended. The focus on the event, which was relationships, chimed with the theme of MHAW.

Cygnet Hospital Bierley has recently completed a £222K project to upgrade en-suite facilities across three of the hospital’s four wards. In addition, the ward bathroom and the seclusion en-suite have also been updated on Shelley Ward.

To mark the week, Cygnet Health Care will be launching two new videos which explore reducing restrictive practice and the positive impact that has on relationships, both between service users and those who support them and more generally.
We are delighted to announce that Cygnet Health Care has achieved 100% compliance with all CQUIN indicators for all of its NHS contracts across the UK for the contract year 2015-16. This is the fifth consecutive year that Cygnet has achieved 100% compliance.

Cygnet Hospital Godden Green’s Saltwood Ward has scored 97% in a review by the Quality Network for Forensic Mental Health Services. Saltwood Ward is a low secure service for men that operates in a partnership with Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.
