Cygnet Wast Hills cycle 215 miles in 24 hours to promote exercise

The team at Cygnet Wast Hills recently ran a challenge to see how far they could cycle in 24 hours on their new exercise bike. Staff and service users came equipped with their exercise gear and lots of energy!

Various stations were set up including sensory circuits with warm up activities, a relaxation station with foot spa and head massages in the cool down area, and the essential snack station.

The day was organised to promote the new bike and help encourage daily exercise and a means for helping service users reach their sensory needs.

The bike has been a huge success with service users exercising more frequently since the event; it now features in most service users’ activity programmes. A massive 215 miles were completed by all at Cygnet Wast Hills; this is the same length as the River Thames!

Well done to everyone who took part!
