Our latest Music2Empower project has been created by a service user at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone. His music video, inspired by his struggle with mental health and working towards his recovery, features an original rap song ‘All I Need’.
At the age of 73 and marking his 52nd year in nursing, Steve Brotherhood has no intention of slowing down. Born in Yorkshire and raised in Nottinghamshire, Steve started his career at the age of 21 in 1969 as a student nurse at Rampton Hospital and is currently a clinical team leader at Cygnet Hospital Bierley.
]Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke held their annual sports day on Thursday 15th July, the event is a long standing tradition for the service which has been held for the last 9 years.
All the services in Cygnet’s social care division have been given the opportunity to put themselves forward for our new Dignity in Care Awards. To date over 60 of our social care services have been presented with their Dignity in Care Award.
Service Users and Staff on Ramsey Unit, our High Dependency Rehabilitation Service for men at Cygnet Hospital Colchester, have been working together to strengthen relationships and improve communication by starting a weekly co-production meeting.
