Cygnet Hospital Sheffield does not have specific visiting times and tries to be flexible wherever possible.
On our adult services we do ask that visits are pre-arranged with the ward (24 hours notice is normally required) and that visits take place outside of 9am to 5pm therapy sessions wherever possible.
On our adolescent services we do ask that visits are pre-arranged with the ward (24 hours notice is normally required) as visiting rooms / areas are limited and need to be booked in advance, as we are currently unable to facilitate visits on either of the adolescent wards. Wherever possible we ask that visits take place outside of 9am to 4pm education and therapy sessions. Our last visiting time on an evening is 7.30pm.
The hospital operates a no smoking policy and visitors are therefore asked not to smoke on the ward or anywhere within the building, designated smoking areas are available within the hospital grounds.
What to expect on arrival
On arrival visitors should report to either the Main Reception for adult visiting or the Adolescent Reception where they will be asked to sign in and given a security badge. This ensures that we have an accurate record of who is in the premises at all times. A member of staff will collect you from reception and take you to your meeting or visit.
