Exams

Excel and Exceed is a JCQ registered Exam Centre which means we are able to host formal examinations such as GCSE’s, A-Levels, BTEC and Functional skills on site.

Our Centre Number is: 32218
Our Exams Officer is Joanne Rider
Email address: [email protected]
Telephone Number: 0161 763 8363

Where a young person admitted into our care has been entered for GCSE’s or other exams in the community, our school is able to host these exams.

For us to do this, the school who has entered the young person for the exams will need to Transfer the Candidate to ourselves using the appropriate awarding body process.

Should the young person have any Access Arrangements you will need to send the confirmation of these to our Exams Officer for our records and to ensure they are carried out.

Exam Results

We do everything possible to ensure young people receive the support they need to sit examinations.

The majority of our students remain on roll at their community school whilst in our hospital, so we support these young people by hosting the GCSE exams they have been entered for.

The table below shows the exam results for the young people who we have both entered for exams and those we have hosted.
