Today is World Autism Awareness Day and this week is also Autism Acceptance Week. In our latest blog we had a chat with Vicki from Cygnet Elms to talk about her own lived experience of autism, including what it meant to her to get a diagnosis of autism and the challenges and benefits of living with autism.
Cygnet Elms recently organised an event to celebrate all the different world cultures of the staff who work there.
Cygnet Elms recently held a Disney Day which was organised by a service user, Charlene, and Therapy Coordinator, Riccardo Brade.
Congratulations to Vicki, a service user at Cygnet Elms in Birmingham, who has won the Hope and Positivity Award at this year’s National Service User Awards. Vicki was nominated for her Makaton Training for staff and service users.
In May we launched the 2024 Cygnet Calendar Competition and asked our service users and residents from across the country to submit their paintings, drawings, photographs and arts & crafts projects to be featured.
