With lockdown restrictions easing and group leave being back on the cards, the team at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield's Phoenix School couldn’t wait to finally take their students on school trips again. The first school trip in over a year turned out to be one to remember!
A brand new Café has opened this week at The Fields residential service in Sheffield. The 'Evergreen Cafe', born out of the People's Council meetings, has been co-produced throughout the project, from the decisions on new fixtures and fittings to the café name.
Cygnet Hospital Hexham is working with a local student, Paddy Villiers-Stuart to hold music sessions and has credited music therapy for helping service users in mental distress. Paddy, from Hexham, brings a variety of instruments with him to the hospital and sings with service users and works with them to create original music.
