    We are pleased to confirm that an extensive programme of environmental improvements to Cygnet Hospital Harrogate have now been completed. Improvements include a remodelled rececption area, a new visitors room and new anti-ligature windows and anti-barricade doors.
 
        
    
    Cygnet Hospital Stevenage has successfully completed their first delivery of the Firesetting Intervention Programme for Mentally Disordered Offenders (FIP-MO). Findings from the programme were then presented to he Division of Forensic Psychology at their Annual Conference.
 
        
    
    On Thursday 15th June Cygnet Hospital Beckton held an event to celebrate the hospital's three year anniversary of working with family and friends. Attending the peer support and recovery event were family, friends, local community services and a cross section of staff from the hospital.
 
        
    
    We are delighted to announce that following a successful pilot scheme no fewer than seven wards across Cygnet have achieved excellence when implementing Safewards.
 
        
    
    A powerful video has been created by service users at Cygnet Hospital Bierley. The video is a visual scrapbook of the service users response to their participation in the Recovery Focus Group.
 
        
    
    On Friday 12th May Cygnet Hospital Blackheath hosted an event to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week. The event focussed on the positive message of this year’s theme of 'Surviving or Thriving'.
 
        
    
    Cygnet Lodge Kenton recently celebrated Mental Health Awareness Week with a number of fun filled activities involving service users, staff and the local community.
 
        
    
    On 9 May 2017 Cygnet held its latest free educational event, 'Stigma In Mental Health: The role stigma plays and strategies for positive change.' More than 120 delegates gathered at the Village Hotel in Leeds for the event which addressed the problem of mental health stigma and what strategies can be used to help those affected by stigma.
 
        
    
    We are pleased to announce the launch of our new dedicated Referral Line for adult PICU and Acute Services. The Referral Line number is 0808 164 4450 and the service will operate 7 days per week - Monday-Friday: 8am-6pm and Saturday and Sunday: 9am-5pm.
 
        
    
    We are proud to announce that at an event on 27 April 2017 Cygnet launched its People’s Council. The main purpose of the Cygnet People's Council is to work alongside and influence the Executive Management Board through ensuring that the people using our services, and their carers, are represented at every level of the organisation, from the ward to the board.
 
        
    
    ‘Unlabelled’ an anti-stigma film produced by service users at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage has won an award at the 2017 National Service User Awards. The film won in the category of 'Recovery and the Arts'.
