Football programme proving a great success

Watford Football Club's Community Sports & Education Trust are working in partnership with Cygnet Hospital Harrow to deliver a multi-sport programme to service users at the hospital.

Cygnet Hospital Beckton’s Fun Fortnight

Cygnet Hospital Beckton recently ran their latest Fun Fortnight. The Fun Fortnights are held twice a year at the hospital, one in the summer and one at Christmas. It is a time for service users and staff to take a break from the scheduled timetable and have a chance to try something new and fun.

Our service users at Cygnet Sherwood Lodge, a learning disability hospital have undertaken an allotment project in Langwith. Taking part in activities like these can have a positive effect on the people in our care by promoting confidence, independence and healthy eating.

New PICU/Acute Referral Line to extend its opening hours

We are pleased to announce that the recently launched Cygnet Health Care dedicated Referral Line for Adult PICU and Acute services is to extend its opening hours from September 11 2017. From that date the line will remain open until 8pm on weeknights.

Extension works begin at Cygnet Hospital Taunton

We are pleased to announce that extension works have begun at Cygnet Hospital Taunton. The extension will see the creation of additional bedrooms, recreational and office space. The project will see a total investment of £3 million in the hospital.

Cygnet Hospital Sheffield’s Spencer Ward scores 94% in Quality Network Review

Cygnet Hospital Sheffield’s Spencer Ward has scored 94% in a review by the Quality Network for Forensic Mental Health Services. Spencer Ward, a low secure service for women, achieved 100% ratings in three of the areas assessed, these were, ‘Physical Security’, ‘Procedural Security’ and ‘Safeguarding’.

Cygnet Hospital Bury’s annual CAMHS Sports Day

Cygnet Hospital Bury's CAMHS wards hosted their annual sports day on Wednesday 12th July 2017. The day consisted of a variety of games including an egg and spoon race, sack race, three-legged race, relay, fancy dress run, wheel barrow race and many more.
