Marie Nance – Deputy Manager

Marie is the Deputy Manager at The Daley Care Centre. She began her career as a support assistant in elderly care before completing an Advanced Nurse Access course in 2010. Her initial plan was to work in a younger complex care setting for two years before moving on to university but she quickly fell in love with working at The Daley Care Centre. The person-centred approach and the incredible impact the team have on people’s lives made it impossible to leave, and she has never looked back.

Over the years, Marie has progressed from a Rehabilitation Support Worker to Senior Rehabilitation Support Worker, and now to Deputy Manager. It has been an incredibly rewarding journey, and she is proud to be part of such a dedicated team. Marie likes to think of herself as an approachable person and a good listener, someone people can turn to when they need support.

Outside of work, Marie is a proud mum of four, and being part of a close-knit family who love spending time together. Whether it’s swimming, walking in the local countryside, or just enjoying each other’s company. In the rare moments she gets to herself, Marie enjoys a good book and a well-earned glass of wine!

Iain Veitch - Director of Neurological Care

Iain joined Cygnet Social Care in June 2026 as the Director of Neurological Care. He works alongside the teams at the Daley Care Centre and Woodrowe House to guide and support the development of specialist complex neurological and spinal injury services.

Iain originally qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1990, specialising in Critical Care, acute and chronic pain management. He later became a service manager for a multi-site NHS Trust. After many years in the NHS, Iain chose to move into the independent sector, driven by a commitment to improving service provision and quality of life for individuals living with brain injury and complex physical health needs.

Over the past 12 years, Iain has developed and delivered innovative specialist neurological and complex care services in York, Middlesbrough and Newcastle and he had the privilege of establishing a comprehensive home‑based service for adults and children with complex neurological needs across the North of England. Iain is deeply passionate about creating services that are holistic, person‑centred, and genuinely empowering and supporting individuals to unlock their full potential.

Victoria Sudworth – Clinical Commissioning Support Manager

Victoria is the Clinical Commissioning Support Manager at The Daley Care Centre. She is a Registered Adult Nurse who began her career in the NHS, working in intensive care and accident & emergency departments across the North West. In 2017, she moved into the social care sector, gaining extensive experience in managing specialist care homes. Now, in her role at The Daley Care Centre, Victoria brings together her clinical background and management expertise to ensure the people we support receive the highest standard of care, tailored to their complex needs.

Victoria holds a nursing degree alongside an additional qualification in higher management within social care, which helps her bring together clinical care and strategic planning. Her passion lies in ensuring that the services we provide are not only high-quality but also compassionate, person-centred, and well-structured to truly meet the needs of our clients.

Outside of work, Victoria is a friendly and approachable person who loves spending time with her husband and three children.

Kay O'Neill - Clinical Lead for Physiotherapy

Kay qualified as a physiotherapist in 1988 from Pinderfields College of Physiotherapy. Kay has lived in Barnsley for the last 34 years and worked in local NHS services in a variety of physiotherapy roles both inpatient and community services, leading therapy teams and providing opportunities to optimise patient outcomes, supporting families to look after their relatives with complex health issues.

Kay took early retirement from the NHS in 2017 and started to work for Cygnet supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and associated neurological conditions who access our specialist day services in Sheffield. , these are exciting social care services that enables individuals with significant health challenges to access meaningful day time activities eg hydrotherapy, that help to ensure positive health outcomes and continued capability to live at home with their families.

During her time at Cygnet, Kay has supported the recruitment and lead on the development of the physiotherapy service for our growing neuropsychiatric services. During the Covid pandemic sheI took on an active clinical role in these services which reignited her passion for complex neurological inpatient care. Kay is delighted to have taken on the opportunity as Physiotherapy Lead for The Daley Centre Woodrowe House and to be involved in the development of our neurological complex care services.

Legashe Ledwaba - Head of Occupational Therapy

Legashe Ledwaba is a qualified Occupational Therapist. He joined Cygnet Social Care in September 2026 as the Head Occupational Therapist at The Daley Care Centre. He is registered with the HCPC and RCOT. Legashe trained in South Africa and completed his Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (SMU) in 2015.

Legashe is specialised in neurological rehabilitation and has worked in post-acute specialised Neurological rehabilitation in South Africa (Pretoria) and later in London in an acute Neurosciences unit as Band 7 specialist occupational therapist.

Legashe is passionate about neurological rehabilitation. He has both empirical evidence and anecdotal observations on how structured, evidence-based, and interdisciplinary neurological rehabilitation services can significantly improve lives of those impacted. As such, he is dedicated to delivering these services with deep compassion and strong ethical values.
