Meet the Team

Laura Storey - Home Manager

Laura started working for Cygnet in the summer of 2016 as a support worker. She joined to gain some experience working with adults following her studies in children’s care ... 5 years later and she is still here!

Laura spent a number of years working as support staff, moving up to team leader, deputy manager and unit manager. She then moved to Outwood in 2020 as a registered manager. Laura is proud of the work that her team have done with the amazing residents and families supported at Outwood, and enjoys watching the progress and achievements of our residents and team. Laura hopes to support the team to deliver consistent, outstanding care.

Ryan Flower – Deputy Home Manager

Ryan’s career started as a support worker at Kirkside Lodge in 2018, where he learnt a variety of skills and followed the 5 principles of Cygnet, care, respect, integrity, empowerment and trust in his day to day work. Ryan was then promoted to a Team Leader onto Kirkside House and became an operational safety intervention instructor, where he mentored staff on the integrated experience and how important it is to have positive interaction with residents. Currently he is working at Outwood; where the aim is to promote outstanding care.

Jade Thompson – Team Leader

Jade started her career at Outwood 2017 as a support worker. Jade enjoyed supporting the residents to their potential by promoting their independence. Jade was then promoted through the ranks and became an acting team leader and then a team leader. Jade enjoys supporting the staff team, encouraging support and engagement, planning days out for residents and staff, mentoring staff to their full potential.

Shaunna Priestley - Team Leader

Shaunna started her career at Outwood 2017 as a support worker. Shaunna enjoyed supporting each individual resident and to support enhance their quality of life. Shaunna then was promoted to an acting team leader and was supported by the TL’s to continue her journey through the roles. Shaunna accepted full Team leader role and enjoys supporting the residents and staff team and ensuring every day is meaningful. Shaunna has loved seeing the development and progress of service users during her time at Outwood.
