Dave Onwuka - Service Manager

Dave joined Cygnet Health Care in 2021, bringing six years of experience from the health insurance sector. He began his career within Cygnet's social care services as a Bank Support Worker and, driven by his passion and commitment to supporting individuals, progressed to Support Worker and then Senior Support Worker.

Following a successful period as Interim Deputy Manager at Walkern Lodge, Dave was appointed Deputy Manager on a permanent basis. In July 2025, he took on the role of Service Manager at Hansa Lodge. Since then, he has led a number of significant achievements, including eliminating the use of agency staff, achieving 100% in the last three SPEEDS pharmacy audits, and maintaining the service's 'Good' rating during its most recent CQC inspection.

Dave is also a Cygnet Values Ambassador and an IMS Information Governance Champion. He is passionate about creating a positive and supportive working environment, while empowering service users to develop their independence and achieve their personal goals.

Joy Nwabueze-Agu - Team Leader

Joy started as a support worker at Hansa lodge in 2018, her commitment and passion for this job always makes her available to support and seek development when opportunities arise. Joy was appointed as team leader in 2019 and has since been attending training courses to gain more knowledge and experience. Joy feels it has been a continuous pleasure to be part of a great organisation.
