Nyomi Ward – Registered Manager

Nyomi completed a degree in psychology but went to volunteer in a camp in America with learning disabilities and decided that was the path she wanted to take her career, was a support worker for learning disabilities once graduating in 2016 and worked her way into a deputy manager in her previous company.

Nyomi joined cygnet in March 2021 as deputy manager for 2 years and became successful in the registered manager position in July 2023.

Nyomi wants to continue to improve the quality of care and the service at Dove Valley Mews, devote time on upskilling the staff and ensure the individuals to live their best days every day and residing in a homely personalised environment.

Emma Pickersgill – Deputy Manager

Emma began her career with Cygnet in April 2017 as a Support Worker at Dene Brook in Rotherham, where she gained valuable experience supporting individuals with a range of complex needs.

In August 2019, Emma joined Dove Valley Mews as an Acting Team Leader and was soon promoted to Team Leader. She supported the opening of the service and helped individuals settle into their new home.

Throughout the pandemic, Emma worked closely with colleagues to ensure the people at Dove Valley Mews continued to receive person-centred care and enjoy a good quality of life. The team found creative ways to maintain important routines, including collecting pizza boxes from a local takeaway each Saturday so individuals could continue to enjoy their planned takeaway nights.

Keen to broaden her experience, Emma moved into a Regional Administrator role in 2021, where she developed her knowledge of HR processes. In August 2023, she returned to Dove Valley Mews as Deputy Manager.

In her current role, Emma draws on her experience to help ensure the people supported at Dove Valley Mews feel safe, empowered and able to be as independent as possible. She has also supported the service in maintaining its ‘Good’ CQC rating.

Michelle Amour – Administrator

Michelle started her career at Dove Valley Mews in May 2025. Michelle has worked in various roles throughout her career and has previous experience in a HR Administrator role for Social Housing.

During her time at Dove Valley Mews she has gained more knowledge and experience working within a residential environment.
