Meet the Team

Jade Davies - Deputy Hospital Manager

Jade joined the Delfryn site as a preceptor mental health nurse in July 2013. Jade has had the opportunity to be closely involved in the assessment and treatment of service users with various mental health problems including psychosis, personality disorders, and substance misuse.

Jade enjoys working within a rehabilitation setting to support and encourage service users to learn and develop skills in order for them to continue with their recovery pathway. .

Kate Jackson - Clinical Manager

Kate joined Cygnet in 2019 at Cygnet St Augustine’s as a senior staff nurse and worked there for three and a half years. In 2022 Kate was promoted to an interim role as head of care before moving to Delfryn in May 2023 in a permanent role of Clinical manager at Delfryn House.

Kate is a qualified registered mental health nurse and trained at the University of Manchester. Kate has previously worked in acute settings, older age settings, rehabilitation and nursing homes where she gained a lot of physical health knowledge. Kate is passionate about service user’s lives and giving them support on their journey of recovery.

Rachel Ellett - Trainee Forensic psychologist (Stage 1)

Rachel joined Cygnet Delfryn House and Lodge in 2012, starting her journey as a Senior Support Worker and Honorary Assistant Psychologist. Since this time, Rachel has progressed to her current position of Trainee Forensic Psychologist (Stage 1).

Rachel completed her BCs in Psychology and a Master’s degree specialising in Family and Child in Psychology. Rachel is currently completing a second Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology. Following on, Rachel aims to progress to the final stage of training to complete the qualification in forensic psychology which will enable her to achieve her career aspirations of being a qualified forensic psychologist.

Rachel works as part of the MDT, focusing on the assessment and treatment of service users with various mental health problems, including psychosis, personality disorders, and substance misuse. Rachel devotes her time to developing strong therapeutic relationships with the service users as this allows her patients to work towards their recovery goals and to acknowledge their personal strengths.

Rachel has special interests in trauma and personality disorders. Furthermore, Rachel thoroughly enjoys supporting each staff team through facilitating Reflective practice and assisting in staff training. Rachel is skilled in clinical assessment and in using a wide range of psychological interventions. In doing so, she actively incorporates an integrated approach to suit her patients’ individual treatment needs.
