Meet the Team

Hayley Rogers – Registered Manager

Hayley joined the company in 2016 as a day team leader, after successfully completing her probation she was given the opportunity to become acting deputy manager for the service. Following successful interview she was offered the permanent position of Deputy Manager.

Hayley went on to complete a Level 5 in Leadership Management and in 2021 she was given the opportunity to become the registered service manager.

Hayley has now worked in care for over 20 years and feels she has been given great opportunities and career progression within Cygnet and hopes to continue to develop within her role at Birches.

Mark Donegan – Deputy Manager

Mark began working for the company in 2001 at another service. As mark gained experience he advanced to the role of acting Unit Manager before accepting a position of acting deputy at Birches in December 2020. Mark has been in the position since, having applied and being accepted for the full position in April 2021.

Melissa Kashiri - Team Leader

Melissa joined the team at Birches back in 2015 as a support worker and progressed to Activity coordinator whilst also gaining experience along the way leading shifts until 2017. She then had a year’s break before returning in 2018.

After returning as a Night support worker Melissa led a team of 3-4 support staff and progressed and worked her way up and was promoted to Night Team leader before successfully being appointed Team Leader on Day shifts.

Whilst at Birches, Melissa has been supported to gain the Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care. In addition, she has also taken other short courses such as Autism, behaviour management course. Melissa is also a mental health first aider and is currently working on her Level 4 apprenticeship with the support and help from management.

Melissa enjoys working for Cygnet as there are many opportunities to progress and to be supported within the service.
