Cygnet Wast Hills enjoy an open day in spring sunshine
Cygnet Wast Hills hosted a lovely open day in the spring sunshine, with Makaton sessions, ice cream and garden games enjoyed by all.
A wonderful open day was hosted by Cygnet Wast Hills, our highly specialised autism spectrum disorder service for men in Birmingham with entertainment including:
- An insightful CPD training session delivered by the multidisciplinary team, called “Physical Health Monitoring in Autism Services”
- A video display for attendees to watch, including a range of photos and videos of service users and videos of staff saying why they enjoyed working at Cygnet Wast Hills
- An ice cream van keeping everyone nice and cool, with benches around for people to take a seat and enjoy the sunshine
- Makaton session and singalong with a guitar led by Cygnet Wast Hills and Cygnet Elms service users
- A garden games set up, including football, a bike, swing ball, basketball hoop
- Pet therapy, handling snakes, guinea pigs and a furry rabbit
