Our 2nd Annual Cygnet Occupational Therapy Conference 2019 took place on Thursday 7th November during National Occupational Therapy Week. The theme of this year’s conference was “Building Environments that Inspire Growth”.

On Thursday 31st October the team at Cygnet Hospital Beckton held their first Working Together Group, a brand new forum for service users and carers.
Pippin Ward, our new 10 bed female acute service at Cygnet Appletree near Durham, is due to open on Monday 25th November 2019. The service will provide a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.
On Friday 18th October the team at Pines, our specialist residential service in Mansfield Woodhouse for adults with autism, held an event to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.
On Friday 11th October the team from Cygnet Delfryn House and Cygnet Delfryn Lodge co-hosted a fundraising event with Cyfle Cymru to mark World Mental Health Day.
On Tuesday 15th October the team at Cygnet Hospital Ealing set aside a day to display service user artwork that had been prepared the previous week on World Mental Health Day.
On Saturday 12th October service users and staff from Cygnet Hospital Taunton were invited to attend Taunton Town FC’s match with Hayes & Yeading. At the end of the match one service user was given the honour of presenting the Man of the Match award.
