Meet the Team

Belinda Mawire – Hospital Manager

Since qualifying as an RMN at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University in 2007. Belinda has over 10 years practicing as a Registered Mental Health nurse with experience in a variety of psychiatric settings. Belinda joined Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke in February 2008 as preceptorship nurse initially working as an RMN on the PICU and later moved the male rehabilitation ward.

Belinda moved to Cygnet Lodge Lewisham as a senior RMN in 2010 and was later promoted to Clinical Team then Registered Manager before moving to Cygnet Hospital Maidstone as a ward manager. Belinda has experience of working at management levels in both PICU and Personality Disorder at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone and joined the team at Godden Green as Clinical Services Manager before being promoted to Hospital Manager in 2023.

Charlene Nota - Clinical Manager

Charlene qualified as a Registered Mental Health nurse in 2O11 following which she took a position as a preceptor at Cygnet Churchill a male rehabilitation service. She has vast experience of working in this service- from working with service users that were at the pre-engagement phase through to the end of the care pathway.

Prior to joining the team at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone Charlene was working for four years as a Senior Nurse honing her clinical leadership skills with the nursing team.

Dr Ruvini Senasinghe – Consultant Psychiatrist for Castle Ward

Dr Senasinghe joined the team at Cygnet Hospital Godden as Consultant Psychiatrist for Castle ward in January 2020. She qualified in Sri Lanka with her primary medical education (MBBS) in 1991. She has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK since 2006 (MRCPsych ) and approved under the Section 12 (2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.

Dr Senasinghe has special expertise in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. She also has a special interest in physical health problems in psychiatric patients. She has worked in various settings in mental health as a consultant psychiatrist since 2006, including working in the NHS and independent sector. Her experience includes in working with patients in the community mental health services, acute psychiatry inpatient wards and PICU wards.

Festus Oduntan - Ward Manager, Castle Ward

Festus is a meticulous and practical mental health nurse and Violence & Reduction Restraint Trainer, experienced and specialised in delivering acute and PICU care treatment and relationship building skills.

Festus joined Cygnet Godden Green in 2021. He is experienced in delivering compassionate care with a career spanning six years. He is a friendly professional with exceptional knowledge, with the use of effective communication, and is well-versed in providing quick and safe therapeutic intervention for patients’ safety, reduction of restrictive practice, management, and prevention of violence and aggression.

Theoca Moodley – Head of Occupational Therapy & VdTMoCA Lead for Cygnet Occupational Therapy

Theoca Moodley is a dynamic and highly experienced occupational therapist with a strong background in forensic and secure mental health, now specialising in Acute and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) services. As Head Occupational Therapist at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green, she leads and supports a team of Occupational Therapists and a Recovery College Lead, delivering high-quality therapeutic services to individuals in acute and intensive care settings.

Passionate about breaking down stigma and fostering meaningful occupational engagement, Theoca is committed to reducing restrictive practices and promoting co-production between service users and therapy teams. Her leadership ensures the implementation of evidence-based practices, including Sensory Modulation strategies and the Vona du Toit Model of Creative Ability (VdTMoCA) and the Activity Participation Outcome Measure (APOM), to assess and enhance patient engagement and recovery in Occupational Therapy.

As VdTMoCA Lead for Cygnet Occupational Therapy, Theoca spearheads preceptorship programs to develop her occupational therapy peers and intends to deliver multidisciplinary team (MDT) training to strengthen staff confidence in managing complex cases. Her dedication to improving patient outcomes, building collaborative networks, and advancing the field of occupational therapy reflects her deep commitment to supporting recovery and fostering meaningful lives for individuals with mental health conditions.

Kerry White - Lead Psychologist

Kerry White is the Lead Psychologist at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green. She is a qualified Clinical Psychologist registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and has more than 15 years of experience in working with clients from diverse populations in a variety of healthcare settings.

Her work is focussed on the person-centered approach in the fields of mental health and health psychology. She believes strongly in the value of multidisciplinary teamwork and the philosophy of continuous improvement in all aspects of life. As the Lead Psychologist, she believes it important to develop and support her dedicated team in the delivery of high quality and evidence based care to our service users.

Alison Rickard - Admin Manager & Mental Health Law Practitioner

Alison joined the team at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green in as a medical secretary. In 2013 she took over the role of Mental Health Law Practitioner at the hospital and completed a ‘Certificate in Mental Health Law’ at Northumbria University. The main purpose of her role is to oversee the procedures and processes of the Mental Health Act, ensuring section papers are legal and that all deadlines and expiry dates are adhered to.

In May 2024 Alison also became the manager of the hospital’s administration team which consists of receptionists, medical secretaries and admissions and discharge co-ordinator.

Beata Bikowska - Professional Safeguarding and Wellbeing Lead and Carers Lead

Beata is a self-motivated and determined health and wellbeing professional with extensive experience, knowledge and skills across the Health and Social Care sector. With a focus on safeguarding, she is committed to cultivate a safe and thriving organisational culture.

Her mission is to empower individuals through strengths-based strategies, supporting resilience and well-being in professional settings. She is passionate about helping people to set and achieve both their personal and professional goals and, promote a culture that puts people in the centre.

Douglas Daka - Support Services Manager

Douglas has been with Cygnet for 6 years now after previously working for a financial services company. Douglas possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science and initially joined Godden Green as a support worker. Douglas has worked across settings including Low Secure, CAMHS Acute and PICU and is currently the Quality and Compliance lead.

Douglas is interested in all things science and is particular passionate about Natural History. He is an amateur horticulturalist and also enjoys exercise particularly the sport of running. Douglas has a passion for the promotion of patient centred care and ensuring services users are at the centre of service improvement.
