Awa Bah - Hospital Manager
Awa is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 17yrs post registration experience. Prior to joining Cygnet, Awa worked in Forensic Medium and Low Secure Rehabilitation Services within the NHS. Awa has a keen interest in working with women and was the Modern Matron for the Female Forensic Service and Forensic Personality Disorder Unit with East London NHS Foundation Trust.
Awa’s areas of expertise include Quality Improvement, recovery oriented practice, staff development and physical health. Prior to becoming a nurse, Awa worked extensively with the voluntary sector in the areas of youth work and healthcare. Awa has a Master’s Degree in Public Health and is a PRINCE2 project management Practitioner.

Anthony Aigbe - Interim Clinical Services Manager
Anthony is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a first class degree from the University of Greenwich. He also has a B.sc in Biochemistry and an M.sc in Applied Environmental Science.
Anthony joined Cygnet Hospital Beckton in 2013 and has extensive experience working as a clinical practice lead in the Low Secure Forensic unit and the Psychiatry Intensive Unit. Anthony was the Acting Service Manager for the Low Secure Forensic unit in Beckton in 2017 before becoming Registered Manager at Cygnet Lodge Lewisham. He was appointed Clinical Manager of Cygnet Hospital Blackheath and Cygnet Lodge Lewisham in March 2023.
Anthony is passionate about staff empowerment, development and service user’s involvement in service improvement. He is service user focused and committed to quality and holistic care.

Jackie Wolf - General Manager
Jackie has worked at Cygnet Hospital Beckton since 1999 and has been instrumental in the changing development in the hospital. Jackie is responsible for all non-clinical services across the unit. In addition, she manages the HR and Mental Health Act departments.
Jackie has a BSc in Psychology and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD. She provides a valuable professional perspective and insight to create and deliver integrated HR services and solutions that drives effective, secure and an efficient service delivery for our service users and staff at Cygnet Hospital Beckton.

Adeyemi Shokoya-eleshin – Ward Manager, New Dawn Ward
Ade has been a RMN for over twelve years and has a range of mental health experience. He brings innovative ways to improve service effective in building team working ensuring positive experience for those who use our service.
Benedict Alcanices - Acting Ward Manager, Hooper Ward
Benedict is a Registered Nurse with 12 years of experience and joined Cygnet from 2021 as an International Nurse. He worked as registered nurse with well-versed experience with neurology and psychiatry, he also been rotated and gained experience with medical and surgical wards, intensive care units, as well as A&E during the COVID pandemic.
He joined Cygnet and gained leadership experience through mentorship, VOTIVE training, World Class Manager Class and continues to develop self. He became registered mental health nurse committed to provide holistic quality health care to its clients enabled by reliable medical facilities and geared by compassion, competence and commitment.

Gemma Gloster – Head of Psychology
Gemma is a HCPC registered and BPS Chartered Forensic Psychologist. As well as being the Head of Psychology, she is the DBT Lead, and Ward Psychologist for Hooper Ward. Prior to joining Cygnet Hospital Beckton Gemma worked across a range of private and public sector services including prisons and probation services. Gemma has worked with adults and children, both male and female, in assessment and treatment capacities.
Gemma is experienced in supporting individuals in relation to a range of presenting difficulties, including offending behaviours and mental health presentations. As such she is trained and experienced in a range of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, advanced DBT, and EMDR. Gemma is passionate about Motivational Interviewing and positive psychology approaches, supporting individuals to take ownership of their care and achieve meaningful life goals.
