The ward provides assessment and treatment for women experiencing a mental health crisis who require an emergency admission.
The team at Cygnet Hospital Beckton embodies a trauma-informed approach to care. We value family and carer input, utilising a well-established carer network to provide a regular forum for
updates and feedback.
We provide personalised therapy and activity programmes tailored to each woman’s goals, values and changing needs, supporting mental wellbeing and helping them manage their mental health throughout their recovery journey.
We are able to provide a pathway from Acute care for women who may require further intensive support within our female PICU and personality disorder services on site.
“Many thanks for your support and that of the wider MDT, particularly your responsiveness, consistent communication and the opportunity to work collaboratively with your team in coordinating her care on Hooper Ward.
