Beth Clamp - Registered Manager
Beth qualified as a Mental Health Nurse at Sheffield Hallam University in 2011 and has worked at Cygnet Bury since 2013 across a number of services in different roles, including qualified nurse, team leader, ward manager and clinical manager.
Beth is passionate about growing Cygnet Dunes Deaf service and is trained in British Sign Language.
Outside of work Beth enjoys travelling and reading.

Jennifer Healey - Clinical Manager of Male services
Jenny is a highly motivated Clinical Manager with a strong background in adult mental health and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
Previously a Ward Manager, Jenny has worked in various settings, including secure, General Acute Units (GAU), Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs), and specialist deaf services.
Since qualifying in 2009, she has developed extensive expertise in managing complex care environments and leading multidisciplinary teams. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and embedding this ethos within the teams she leads.
Jenny takes pride in fostering a supportive, patient-focused team culture that drives positive, lasting outcomes for both staff and service users.
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys watching documentaries and reading.

Fanuel Zendera - Clinical Manager for Women's Secure Services
Fanuel originates from the Gokwe District in the Midlands Province of Zimbabwe with a teaching profession background in Zimbabwe and the UK.
Fanuel graduated with DipHE Mental Health Nursing from the University of Central England (UCE), now Birmingham City University in September 2005 and then joined the Deaf Service.
He has held various positions including Team Leader, Ward Manager and Clinical Service Manager, before joining the Clinical Quality and Compliance Department as Senior Practice Development Nurse for 6 years and is now the Clinical Service Manager overseeing the Women's Secure Service.
Fanuel is the Placement Education Lead for student nurses at Cygnet Bury, and the Regional lead for Multicultural Network.

Dr Ayesha Ali - Medical Director
Dr Ayesha Ali is the Medical Director at Cygnet Bury Dunes and also the Responsible Clinician for the women’s medium secure unit. With 11 years of experience in psychiatry, she has worked across a variety of clinical settings, providing care to diverse patient populations.
With extensive hands-on experience in secure units, Ayesha is dedicated to providing high-quality care and rehabilitation for our patients who deserve excellent care. Her focus lies in ensuring a seamless transition for patients into the community by navigating complex care pathways and working collaboratively with patients and multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible outcomes.
She is deeply committed to promoting independence and co-producing services that empower patients. She is passionate about delivering excellence in mental health care with special interest in women’s mental health, she strives to balance therapeutic interventions with robust legal and ethical frameworks to support long-term recovery and reintegration.
She is dedicated to fostering strong therapeutic relationships with both patients and staff, ensuring a supportive and effective treatment environment for patients and a motivated team.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as staying active through long walks and running in nature.

Lynn Thackray – General Manager
Lynn graduated from Newcastle University with a languages degree before starting her first NHS management role in 1994. Since then, Lynn has worked in a range of operational healthcare management roles across London, the South East and North West of England and has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies.
Lynn joined Cygnet in 2016 and was appointed as General Manager for the Dunes Hospital in January 2025. Prior to this, Lynn worked as the Assistant General Manager at Cygnet Bury for 8 years, leading a range of non-clinical teams across all hospital buildings.
Lynn enjoys being a hands-on manager and working with teams and individuals to develop services and drive continuous improvement.

Heather Clift - Lead Occupational Therapist
Heather Clift is the Lead Occupational Therapist at Cygnet Bury Dunes. Heather is responsible for overseeing the occupational therapy team in terms of the clinical delivery of the occupational therapy pathway, promoting the clinical role within the service, and service development to enhance the therapeutic environment, supporting in promoting patient care, and evidencing the value of occupational therapy. In addition, Heather supports the management team with maintaining aspects of environmental audits, and supporting in improving the understanding of therapeutic engagement within the service.
After studying for 3 years at the University of Salford, Heather graduated with a First-Class Honours in Occupational Therapy in 2015 and since then has worked with in various mental health services and settings for over 9 years.
Heather is particularly passionate about embedding the occupational therapy pathway and understanding of the role within the service and in relation to service development to improve the patient experience.

Emily Shaw - Forensic Psychologist
Emily is a HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist. Emily completed her undergraduate degree in B.Sc. Psychology (Hons) in 2011 and her postgraduate degree in M.Sc. Forensic Psychology in 2012. She initially joined Cygnet Bury in 2013 as a Mental Health Support Worker, during which time she worked across the low secure and medium secure women’s Deaf wards for approximately five years.
Emily then returned to university to undertake a Doctorate in Forensic Psychology, which she completed in 2018. During her time as a Trainee Forensic Psychologist, Emily gathered experience across a number of different settings, including secure forensic hospitals, HM Prison Service and FCAMHS (both inpatient and community). Emily subsequently qualified as a Forensic Psychologist in 2019 and has worked on the Women’s and Deaf Service at Cygnet Dunes ever since.
She is trained in a range of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, CFT, DBT and EMDR. Emily works in a trauma-informed way and has considerable experience working with women with personality disorder. Emily is also passionate about working on the Deaf service and is committed to leading an equal and inclusive service, where patients are offered accessible therapy in their first language, which has been adapted specifically for their individual needs, by a team of Deaf and/or Deaf aware professionals.
Emily is also trained in British Sign Language, up to Level 2 standard. She is dedicated to empowering all the patients on the Women’s and Deaf Service, supporting them to flourish, to achieve their full potential and to progress along their individual treatment pathways.

Clare Shard – Head of Interpreting and Translating Team
Clare is a registered, qualified British Sign Language Interpreter since 1999 and since qualifying has worked with the Deaf community in health, social and specialist mental health and deafness settings. Clare established the Interpreting and Translation service at Cygnet, Bury in 2001.
Clare is passionate about ensuring that all Deaf people have full and meaningful access to information, particularly about their care, treatment and recovery. She has been involved in both national and local initiatives to improve BSL Interpreter training and has produced and delivered specialist training relating to working as a BSL interpreter in a secure, forensic setting.
Outside of work Clare enjoys attending her book club.

Adriaane Fahy - Clinical Quality & Compliance Manager
Adriaane is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Committed to ensuring patient safety and effective care delivery, Adriaane monitors clinical practices, conducts audits, identifies areas for improvement, and implements necessary changes to align with relevant regulations and internal standards.
After studying for four years at the University of Kent, Adriaane graduated with a First-Class Honours in Forensic Science in 2020. With eight years of experience in mental healthcare – including five years specialising in Clinical Quality and Patient Safety – Adriaane has worked across a wide variety of specialised mental health services.
Adriaane is particularly passionate about Patient Safety. In her previous role as Clinical Investigation Manager, Adriaane was a key driver in advancing the NHS Patient Safety Strategy.
Outside of work, Adriaane enjoys snowboarding, travelling with friends and family, and winding down with a good book.

Kimberley Richardson - Lead social worker
Kim has been a qualified social worker since 2013. She has worked at Cygnet Bury for over 10 years in a range of roles, including Support Worker, CAMHS Social Worker, Senior Social Worker and now Lead Social Worker at Cygnet Bury Dunes.
Kim has a passion for Deaf service and is trained in British Sign Language.
